My Team Message
Sport United is a team of cyclists from The Prince's Trust Sport Development Team joined by colleagues, friends and family. We are taking part in the Palace to Palace sponsored cycle ride on September 27th 2009.
Sport is one of a few key strategic priorities which The Trust has formed so that we can offer opportunities with which young people can easily identify. Our partnerships with football, cricket and rugby deliver effective national initiatives which engage, excite and motivate thousands of young people and help to change their lives.
What is Palace to Palace?
Palace to Palace is a sponsored cycle ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, all in aid of The Prince's Trust. Palace to Palace takes in some incredible sights as it passes through London and beyond. The 45-mile bike ride is taking place for the fourth time on 27th September 2009
The route
The route passes some stunning sights through Surrey and Berkshire. Up to 3000 participants will be taking part this year and will start this amazing experience on The Mall, passing through St James’s Park and heading towards Buckingham Palace, before travelling out of the city. The route then continues along The Thames and over Putney Bridge and finishes in Windsor.
Why have we signed up?
Palace to Palace isn’t a race – it’s a chance to get on a bike and have some fun with colleagues, friends and family, and through the sponsorship we raise we will be helping The Prince’s Trust support disadvantaged young people in the UK.
What next?
We would be very grateful for your support in helping us to hit our fundraising target. Please sponsor us!
Many thanks
Sport United Cycling Team
